  • Congratulations to the Mountain Brook theatre department! The group recently competed in the Walter Trumbauer District Theatre Competition and several students have advanced to compete at the state level!

    The Little Match Girl was awarded Best Technical Production and Best Costumes. Five cast members were placed on the All-Star Cast (Andie Hites, Lily Padgett, Emerson Holloway, Amelia Samuels, Lily Lott). David Chalmers won Best Supporting Performance in a One Act and Mari Miller won Best Leading Performance in a One Act. 

    The Little Match Girl won Best in Show and will be representing District 6 at the Walter Trumbauer State Theatre Competition in December at Troy, AL. 

    "I'm incredibly proud of these students and their performances over the weekend," Theatre Director Jane Ganey said. "They showed class and professionalism in every way. I'm honored to be a part of such a wonderful and supportive system!"
