Boys Golf Wins 5th Consecutive State Championship

  • Tuesday, May 10, 2022 – The Mountain Brook High School boys golf team won its 5th straight state championship on Tuesday in Huntsville. The team won the 6A title by 13 strokes in the two-day championship.

    Tom Fischer claimed state co-medalist honors with a low two-day score of 143 (-1). He had seven birdies in the final round, including one on 18 to finish up the tournament.

    Thomas Norris finished in fourth place overall, shooting a 147 (+3), while Carter Brooks finished tied for seventh, shooting a 150 (+6). Coe Murdock finished tied for 10th and Elad Sebbag finished tied for 13th.

    This is the 10th AHSAA state championship for the boys golf program. It is also Mountain Brook athletics’ 178th state championship in school history and the second state title in the last calendar week.
