Tuesday, March 22, 2022 – Bergen Wilkinson, a student at Mountain Brook Junior High, has recently captured the eyes of many thanks to the 8th-grade boys basketball team. On her birthday in January, the team surprised her with flowers to thank her for her dedication to being the team’s number one fan and being in attendance at every game.

A video of the gesture spread far and wide. WVTM13’s Rick Karle shared a story on Facebook that gained a lot of attention. A few weeks later, Karle came to MBJH to sit down with Bergen and members of the basketball team to discuss the act of kindness and what she means to those around her at MBJH.
