Brookwood Forest Completes Phase 1 of Construction

  • The new 13,862 square foot building at Brookwood Forest is home to a brand new lunchroom and front office space.

  • Friday, April 29, 2022 – Mountain Brook Schools broke ground on facility improvements district-wide in May 2021. Just under a year later, Phase One at Brookwood Forest Elementary boasts a state-of-the-art lunchroom and spacious administrative offices to better serve students and staff.

The school’s kitchen staff was able to occupy the new kitchen space Monday morning to serve the students their first lunch in the new wing. School administrators moved into their space the previous week and the 13,862 square foot building now operates in full flow with the rest of the school.

Thursday afternoon, BWF welcomed parents and grand friends to the school to show off the new wing as well as a tour of the school building.

Phase two of the project will include the renovation of select current classrooms as well as transforming the old lunchroom into four new classrooms.
