City Council to consider stop sign additions near CES
-
Dec. 3, 2020 — The Mountain Brook City Council at its meeting on Monday, Dec. 14, will consider an ordinance to make the intersection of Dexter Avenue and Vine Street a four-way stop by adding two stop signs on Vine Street.
The intersection is near Crestline Elementary and is at its busiest during morning and afternoon carpool. Skipper Consultants, the city’s traffic consultant, performed a study of the intersection and recommended the stop sign additions to enhance safety. Every other four-legged intersection on Dexter Avenue north of Vine Street is a four-way stop.
The Dec. 14 council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and can be accessed via Zoom. Those interested in virtually attending can visit the city website on the afternoon of Friday, Dec. 11, to view the meeting agenda packet and locate Zoom login information.
Those who cannot participate in the meeting but would like to submit comments in advance should contact City Manager Sam Gaston at 205-802-3803 or gastons@mtnbrook.org.
