PowerSchool is the system for grades, attendance, student information and more.

June 16, 2021 -- Mountain Brook Schools held PowerSchool training for its school administrators, school staff members and the central office staff the weeks of June 7 and June 14 at the Board of Education building.
PowerSchool is the new software that MBS will use system-wide for teachers, students and staff. The student management system is a state initiative that will be used by every public school in Alabama. Much like Chalkable/iNow (outgoing), PowerSchool is the system for grades, attendance, student information and more. Those in attendance at the training learned all aspects of the software in order to prepare for the upcoming school year.
Teachers will be trained on PowerSchool during Teacher Professional Development in August. Secondary students will learn more about their PowerSchool access later this summer. Parents will begin receiving notifications and training will be set up in early August as well as throughout the school year with ‘Home To School’ connection meetings, videos, etc.
MBS is excited about moving forward with PowerSchool and the new way to provide students with an effective, challenging and engaging education.
