  • September 27, 2021 -- Mountain Brook High School completed a successful “Homecoming Week” on Friday. The MBHS SGA worked closely with staff sponsors, Morgan Chatham and Amy Kathryn Gannon to ensure a week of fun activities and a school-wide spirit of celebration.

Each day of the week had a different theme for dress-up days. Monday was “Pajama Day” followed by “Disney Day” on Tuesday. “Mardi Gras” was the attire for Wednesday as the Mardi Gras-themed “Sparti Gras” homecoming dance was Wednesday night. Students came dressed in “Country vs. Country Club” on Thursday followed by “Dress To Impress” on Friday.

Other weekly events included a gathering on the upper soccer field with live music, food, and a spikeball tournament on Monday night. Friday was a big day as the annual Homecoming pep rally was held in Spartan Stadium followed by the parade through Crestline Village in the afternoon and the football game Friday night.

A special thanks to all the students and staff at MBHS for their enthusiasm and spirit for a great week. The cheerleaders selected the themes for dress-up days while Coach Martin and Coach Noto planned the pep rally. The band provided a spark in the pep rally and led the parade through Crestline. An additional thanks goes out to the Olympian staff for coordinating the class favorites and senior superlatives. The community’s support was also greatly appreciated at the parade and football game on Friday. Visit MBHS and MBS social media channels for more pictures and videos from the week.
