School Board recognizes Teachers of the Year

Dec. 15, 2020 — The Mountain Brook Board of Education at its Dec. 14 meeting recognized the school district’s Teachers of the Year. Although the meeting occurred virtually, every school principal took time to highlight their honoree.

Years at School: 5Members of each school community nominate and select their Teacher of the Year. The chosen educator then represents their school in the Alabama Teacher of the Year program, which seeks annually to honor and recognize excellence in the teaching profession by identifying outstanding Alabama classroom teachers at the local, district, and state levels.
“Our Teachers of the Year represent the best of Mountain Brook Schools,” MBS Superintendent Dr. Dicky Barlow said. “They are talented professionals who excel at their craft, inspire their peers, and care for their students. We could not be prouder of them.”
