The MBJH tradition of Spartan Day took place on Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

Wednesday, August 3, 2022 – Mountain Brook Junior High welcomed seventh graders to campus on Wednesday to continue the longstanding tradition of Spartan Day. Students came to the school to tour the building, walk their schedule, practice opening their locker, and spend lots of time with their classmates.

“We’re excited to welcome these new students like we do every year,” MBJH Principal Donald Clayton said. “We have some great eighth and ninth-grade leaders who volunteered their time and brought these new students on board to help them feel right at home.”

The two groups came in morning and afternoon shifts. There was an hour-long overlap where all seventh graders spent time together in the gym hearing from the administrators, as well as an opportunity for the entire class to eat lunch together in the newly-renovated lunchroom.
