On Monday, our class had 3 special guests from the Unionville American Legion Auxiliary visit with our class about the legacy of Moina Belle Michael, also known as "The Poppy Lady". Students enjoyed hearing the story behind The Poppy Lady, while also hearing about ways our guest readers also honor our veterans like Moina Belle Michael did. Each student was given a handmade poppy flower as a reminder to share this special story with others. Thank you American Legion Auxiliary for visiting our class!
