First-Grade Students Write Non-fiction Texts

First-grade students recently created non-fiction books about an animal of their choosing. After reading to learn about the animal, they used graphic organizers to help find good facts to include in their writing. They also created illustrations to match their text and a cover. We used their cover image as the background for their video. The link to the video compilation can be found below.
