Pennies for Poppies

After learning about Memorial Day and the significance of the red poppies, the third grade students decided to complete a community service project to help the Women's Legion Auxiliary.  We called our project "Pennies for Poppies" and we collected loose change to help Missouri veterans.  In less than two weeks, the third graders collected a little over $70!  The picture shows the third grade students and the money jar.  We plan to continue this project in the coming years.
