Dear Parents,

Welcome back! I hope you all had a great break! We had 3 students complete the reading challenge over break!  Great job!

We have started off our year learning cursive. The students are very excited to learn how to write in cursive!

There are a lot of students who don’t have crayons or are missing a lot of them. If you could please send them with a box (24 count) next week that would be great!!

Next week in:

Communication Arts: We will begin working on r controlled vowels, silent letters, sequencing, irregular nouns and verbs.

Spelling: A practice list is in the Friday folder!

Math: We will begin a new unit working on subtracting fluently within 100! This week we will focus on subtracting 1 and 2 digit numbers, modeling to subtract 2 digit numbers, and using 

addition to check subtraction.

Social Studies/Science:  We have started a new unit on Landforms.
