2nd Grade Works Together

Mrs. Trimble's 2nd-grade class has been working on cooperative learning. One of the hardest parts about working with a partner is learning to cooperate and work together. Students have learned to keep their voices low and to stay focused on the task they are given. 

We have been working on addition and subtraction in math, so the students worked with a partner to review addition and subtraction facts. They used manipulatives to help them complete their work.

In Reading, we have been working on reading strategies for the past two weeks. The students read this week's story with a partner and then discussed the story. We helped our partners sound out difficult words, worked on their fluency, and encouraged them when they were doing a great job! 

Great things happen when we work together!  Good job 2nd Grade!!
