Elementary Meet The Teacher Evenings Scheduled

Attention parents and guardians of PCR-I Elementary students for the 2020-2021 school year. Our Open House/Meet the Teacher night in the elementary school is tentatively scheduled for August 19th, 20th, and 21st, from 4-6 pm, and looks a little different this year. We have added additional days in order to keep groups small and separate to help maintain social distancing.

The dates are as follows:

Wednesday, August 19: Kindergarten and 3rd Grade (4-6 pm)

Thursday, August 20: Preschool, 2nd, and 5th Grade (4-6 pm)

Friday, August 21: 1st and 4th Grade (4-6 pm)

We realize there are some families who have children in multiple elementary grades and apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate you helping us to do our part in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Each grade level will only be open on the designated night. We hope that if you have multiple children in elementary and have more than one night to attend, that you will look to it as an opportunity to give each one of your students a moment to shine and be the spotlight of your attention.

This is the opportunity for you to walk your elementary student to their class to get acquainted with their teacher, drop off their school supplies, and take pictures.

Our teachers are looking forward to meeting their new students. Keep in mind that in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, teachers may be wearing face masks and/or shields and educating our students on the importance of handwashing, social distancing, etc. When your students see you do your part to implement preventative measures, it helps them to understand the importance of these practices while at school as well.

Our goal is to get back to school, return to learning, and keep our students and staff safe and healthy. It takes all of us working together to make that happen.
