2002 School board designated Civic Stadium as surplus property
Aug. 25, 2009 Eugene Emeralds give notice of intent to exit the lease effective Nov. 25, 2009
2010–2011 Property disposition process
• School board initiated land use decision process on Feb. 17, 2010
• Decision-making timeline extended 90 days to allow Save Civic Stadium organization to conduct feasibility study
• Request for proposals process
• Proposals received from Eugene Family YMCA w/partner Valeo Companies, Master & Powell Development, Save Civic Stadium
• All offers declined on June 1, 2011

Aug. 28, 2013 Board work session: Board discussed a potential request for proposals (RFP) to seek proposals to purchase, lease, or trade for the stadium properties
Sept. 18, 2013 Board meeting: Board reviewed draft request for proposals 
Oct. 2, 2013 Board meeting: Board approved final request for proposals
Oct. 4, 2013 Request for proposals issued
Dec. 3, 2013 Proposals due
• Proposals received from City of Eugene, Eugene Family YMCA w/development partner DAD LLC, Powell Development w/partner Fred Meyer, Save Civic Stadium

Jan. 8, 2014 Competitive range of proposals and proposal scoring forwarded to board
• City of Eugene, YMCA and Powell Development proposals were considered to be in the competitive range
• These proposers answered clarifying questions and submitted their best and final offers in January 2014

Feb. 5, 2014 Board meeting: Considered recommendation as future action item
Feb. 19, 2014 Board meeting: Board action: Voted to award contract for the sale of the properties to the City of Eugene and authorize the district’s staff and real estate consultant to negotiate contract terms including several conditions recommended by the superintendent.
Feb. 27, 2015 City of Eugene confirmed it was moving forward with purchase and sale agreement
• Original deadline specified in agreement was Feb. 16, 2015
• Date extended to Feb. 27 in response to a request from the City
April 27, 2015 Property sale completed
