Change from Kennedy Middle School to Spencer Butte Middle School.
Change from Churchill High School to South Eugene High School.

What does it mean for 4J students who live within this area?
- Students currently enrolled could:
- Attend the newly assigned neighborhood school—Edgewood Community Elementary School, Spencer Butte Middle School, or South Eugene High School. Bus transportation will be provided starting with the 2009–10 school year.
- Continue attending their former neighborhood school—Twin Oaks Elementary, Kennedy Middle School or Churchill High School. Bus transportation will not be provided after the 2008–09 school year.
- Continue attending any other school the student has transferred to through the school choice process. Parents would continue to provide transportation.
- Students new to the area, starting school, or advancing to the next school level (moving from elementary to middle school or from middle school to high school) may enroll at Edgewood, Spencer Butte or South Eugene. Students who wish to attend a different school must request a transfer through the school choice process.
How many students might be affected by this change?
There are 17 current 4J students in the boundary change area.
What were the opportunities for community input?
- Families of 4J students within the area were sent a letter with a feedback postcard.
- Other stakeholders provided public input via an online survey, comment cards, or at five meetings held in December and early January.
- In the Fox Hollow Road area that is contiguous to the South region boundary, 100% of the parents responding supported the proposed changes to the neighborhood school designations.
