• John KopickiGreetings Cabarrus County Schools Families & Community,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! A new school year always brings excitement, and we are excited and eager to welcome students for a fantastic year of learning. As we begin the new year, please follow the COVID-19 safety protocols established to protect us all – most notably, remember that masks are required for students inside our school buildings and on our school buses.

Cabarrus County Schools is an excellent school system with quality educators and staff who are committed to providing our students with instruction that fosters learning and growth and providing a myriad of opportunities for educational enrichment as well.

As your new superintendent, I want you to know that I am committed to leading our educators and staff to continue this most important work. We have high expectations for all students and believe that every child can and will reach high levels of achievement and success while pursuing their education in CCS.

My initial goals for the district include:
    • Continuing to provide a safe learning environment for all students
    • Increasing our academic rigor and focus on student achievement, student opportunity and student opportunity gaps
    • Continuing to look for ways to collaboratively build upon our existing partnerships and to look for opportunities to create new ones
    • Working throughout the school year to listen, learn and build a collective vision for the future of our school district
It is my honor and privilege to serve Cabarrus County Schools’ students, families, and staff. I look forward to working together to inspire our students to change the world and to leave CCS knowing they are prepared to accomplish that mission.

You have my word that our focus always will be on the whole child, and we will remain committed to engaging our students’ minds and helping them shape their futures.

    Sincerely,

    John
    John Kopicki, Ed.D.
    Superintendent
