A Word From Mr. Fishback

Welcome to the COBRA NATION.
Cabarrus Tech was founded in 2016 on the CBTC Campus of RCCC and is newest early college in Cabarrus County. At Cabarrus Tech, we believe that all students can make a difference in the world. Everything we do is to prepare them to make that difference. We strive to be a school where all students know they belong, are challenged each day to be leaders and problem-solvers, and charged to leave the world better than they found it. Each day we prepare our students for COLLEGE, CAREER, & LIFE by providing students with an environment that is challenging and supportive and a curriculum designed to help them grow in the classroom and as people. At Cabarrus Tech, “school” is more than just academics. We believe that learning takes place outside the classroom as well and there are numerous opportunities for students to get involved. There are clubs for all interests, competitive teams in intramurals and academics, trips, and social activities for them to participate in.
In addition to earning their high school diploma, our students have the opportunity to earn an associate degree while they are still in high school and our campus offers a wide variety of degrees and programs to choose from. It does not matter if a student want to continue to a 4‑year college/university or start your career when they graduate, we have a path for them.
We are so proud of our graduates. Since we opened, we have had:
- 100% high school graduation rate
- 81% of those students also graduated with a two-year Associate Degree
During this pandemic school year, I am so proud of our staff and students. We have all learned to adapt and overcome. While this year has not looked like our others and we have all struggled, we are track for continued success. I look forward to this year’s graduating class and welcoming next year’s incoming 9th graders.
