Employee Transfer Request (Click Here) Cabarrus County Schools Employees Only. You will need to use your employee email address when creating your account for the first time.
This transfer is granted to current full-time staff to enroll their child(ren) in the schools serving the attendance zone for their workplace unless otherwise specified. The employee must be the student's parent or legal guardian. These transfers must be requested annually. If the student's home school is outside of Cabarrus County Schools District, then a release from the school district where the parent resides must be submitted before the application will be processed. Transportation is not provided.
Student Hardship Transfer Request (Click Here) AVAILABLE MARCH 15 - MAY 15 CLOSED
Parents may request a Hardship Transfer, in very rare cases with extreme or unusual circumstances. In such cases, parents or guardians may request assignment to a school outside of their regular attendance area. These requests are carefully reviewed and rarely granted. Transfer requests made to attend another school during the school year are reviewed on space availability, the needs of the student, the effect on the school to which the transfer is requested, principal recommendations, and the allowable reasons for reassignment/transfer. It is important to provide supporting information or evidence of extreme or unusual circumstances. If your hardship request is based on a student medical or psychological reason, you will need to submit completed Medical/Psychological Hardship Information Form. Transportation in not provided
Student Hardship Transfer Renewal Request (Click Here) AVAILABLE MARCH 15 - MAY 15 CLOSED
All hardship transfers must be renewed annually. Requests for renewed hardship transfers will be forwarded to principals for consideration. Transfer students must have met the conditions for renewal outlined in Policy 4115 listed above. Transportation is not provided.
Request for Release 2023/2024 (Click Here ) AVAILABLE FEBRUARY 15, 2023 Please note that this is not to be used for withdrawing students when moving to another school district.
Any student who resides in the attendance zone for Cabarrus County Schools may apply for a release to attend school in another district.

Students attending Cabarrus County Schools are assigned to the elementary, middle, or high school serving the attendance area associated with the family's domicile. Information as to the specific school assignment is available by accessing FIND MY SCHOOL.

Please note:
- Forms from previous years will NOT be accepted.
- Parents that already have a Scribbles account may sign in to their account to complete a request
- This process cannot be used for a Program Choice request.
- Employees wishing to request a transfer for their children must complete the electronic employee transfer application
- Athletic eligibility is governed locally by CCS Policy 4152. Policy 4152 states: “The student attending a high school other than his/her Designated Athletic School is ineligible for interscholastic athletic participation for one calendar year from the date of his/her enrollment at the new school.
***Please be aware that schools and certain grades may become ineligible for transfers as their enrollment exceeds capacity.
