This is Mrs. Marks’s twentieth year as a Language Arts teacher. She earned her Bachelor's degree in English from Birmingham-Southern College. She then continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she completed her Master’s degree in Secondary Education. In 2009, she received National Board Certification, and the following year she earned her Educational Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  

During the 2023-2024 school year, Mrs. Marks will be teaching College Prep English 11, Advanced English 11, and serving as chair for the English department.
