Mr. Marino began his teaching career in 2002 after a successful career in business. He has previously taught at Oak Mountain Middle School, Oak Mountain High School, and Chelsea Middle School. Prior to the 2022 - 2023 school year, he was Head of School at Bruno Montessori Academy. Realizing his true calling was teaching and coaching, he returned to the classroom to teach science. He enjoys coaching cross country and track and is a part of the coaching staff for both at MBHS.

Mr. Marino holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Auburn University, a Master of Accounting from University of Alabama at Birmingham, a Master's Degree in Education from University of Alabama at Birmingham, as well as his administrative/instructional leadership certificate.

When he is not teaching or coaching, Mr. Marino enjoys spending time with his wife and his two children. He loves to read, hike, run, and play golf.
