Shelley Searcy
Shelley Searcy earned her Educational Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership in 2019 from The University of West Alabama. Mrs. Searcy graduated from Auburn University with her Master’s Degree in Special Education (K-12) and taught Special Education at Auburn High School from 2011 - 2016. Mrs. Searcy graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Human Services and Counseling with a minor in Adolescent Psychology from The University of Tennessee. In 2007 Mrs. Searcy retired from the Air Force Reserve with over 20 years of service. While in the Reserve Mrs. Searcy was assigned to numerous special duty assignments and has over ten years of active duty service. While serving active duty Mrs. Searcy was assigned to McGhee Tyson Air Base, Knoxville, Tennessee, as a Professional Military Education Instructor for four years. Prior to teaching in public education, Mrs. Searcy worked for the State of Florida Department of Children and Families in Child Protection and as an Adoptions Counselor. Upon moving to Auburn with her family Mrs. Searcy worked for Lee County Department of Human Resources in Child Protection before entering graduate school at Auburn University. In her spare time Mrs. Searcy likes to jog and travel. She has two children and is married.
