I have been teaching high school Spanish since 2003, and I have been at Mountain Brook High School since 2011. I have also taught a course at Jefferson State Community College and Spanish courses through ACCESS, a web-based learning system provided by the state.

In 2003, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Spanish Education from Auburn University. During my undergraduate studies, I lived in Spain and attended the Universidad de Cantabria in Santander. After a few years teaching, I returned to Auburn University and earned a Master's Degree in Spanish Education in 2007. Studying at Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Mexico, not only improved my fluency, but also helped me understand more about the Mexican culture. In 2017, I became a National Board Certified Teacher.

I am passionate about inspiring my students to learn and love Spanish. I look forward to working with you this year.
