Mrs. Christina McGovern

 

 

Education

A native of South Carolina, Mrs. McGovern  graduated with honors and obtained her BA from Presbyterian College. After completing her IMA in English from the University of South Carolina, she  earned her National Board Certification in 2009 and studied  Shakespeare at Oxford University. She has taught in South Carolina and Alabama for twenty-six years.

Interests

In her spare time, she enjoys a number of activities: golf, tennis, gardening, reading, and traveling.  (She can boast that she survived the mosquitoes in the Arctic Circle, hiked a glacier, and stood in two hemispheres at the same time!). An avid Anglophile, she has enjoyed keeping up with the royals and all things British (She loves suggestions for new British films). You might spot her down at the Cahaba with her son and fur baby, but reading the Harry Potter series and Lord of the Rings together is now her favorite pastime!
