Rebecca Goodson is the junior counselor for 2022-2023 (Class of 2024).  She assists the students in their transition to the high school as well as supports the students with academic and personal concerns.  In addition, she organizes the administration of the PreACT, a tenth grade ACT assessment.  Mrs. Goodson graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a Master of Arts degree in secondary science education.  She also received a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has a Certificate in Psychometry.  She is a graduate of Mountain Brook High School.  This is her 24th year working in the Mountain Brook School System.  Her positions have included teaching science at Mountain Brook Junior High, serving as school counselor at Cherokee Bend Elementary, and now serving her 12th year as counselor at Mountain Brook High School.  She enjoys spending her free time with her husband and children, going to the beach, sporting events, traveling, and just being together.  She is a MBHS graduate and is proud that her 3 children have been a part of the Mountain Brook School System.  She has one that will be a senior graduate this year and her oldest is a senior nursing student at Spring Hill College!
