Mrs. Cunningham is a National Board Certified Social StudiesTeacher with over 20 years of teaching experience. She has a BS in History from the University of Alabama and post graduate teaching credentials in Secondary Social Studies from Georgia State University and is certified highly qualified in elementary and secondary social studies education.  Mrs. Cunningham has taught United States History in the Mountain Brook Schools since 2006. Prior to coming to Mountain Brook High School, Mrs. Cunningham taught 6th grade social studies at Mountain Brook Elementary and World History I, World History II, and US History at St. Paul's School in Mobile, Alabama. 

Mrs. Cunningham enjoys teaching eleventh grade students and is a proud mother and grandmother.  Her three children are all graduates of Mountain Brook High School and she is grateful to have them living in the Birmingham area.  When not spending time with her family in Birmingham, Mrs. Cunningham is likely to be found sitting in a porch swing on Mobile Bay.
