Due to continued hazardous road conditions, all 4J schools are closed for student safety on Thursday, January 5.
Most offices will be open. Many 4J staff report to work on days when schools are closed due to hazardous weather.
All evening activities (such as concerts and games) and outside organizations’ use of 4J buildings have been canceled. Some afternoon high school sports team practices may take place on an optional basis, up until 4:30 p.m. (check with the individual school or coach).
The district intends to make up the instruction time that has been lost on days when schools are closed due to weather, including by adding make-up school days at the end of the year.
