Please check in the morning to find out whether 4J schools will be closed.
Due to the slowly improving weather and road conditions, the district is resuming its regular hazardous weather practices. Over the past few days school closure decisions could be made earlier than usual, due to the extreme weather conditions and stable forecasts, but the weather is now returning to its less predictable norm.
4J staff will evaluate road conditions early in the morning on Thursday, December 12, before determining whether conditions are safe enough to open schools. If it is decided to close or delay schools or have buses on snow routes, the change will be announced by 6:30 a.m. Thursday.
Please check this website (www.4j.lane.edu), Twitter (@4Jweather), listen to KRVM-FM 91.9, or check other local media for a morning update on Thursday’s status. If there’s no news, 4J schools are open on their regular schedule.
Student and staff safety continues to be our priority and schools will only reopen when it is believed that travel is safe enough throughout our district.
