Classified Employees Appreciation Week

March 2–6 is Classified Employees Appreciation Week. Each year at this time, Eugene School District 4J joins school districts across Oregon in honoring our classified staff members who work to make our schools great places to teach and learn.

This week and every week we celebrate our dedicated classified colleagues for the vital role they play in the success of our students and our schools.

These hardworking, impactful employees perform critical work every day that is essential to our educational mission. Classified employees take care of the buildings our kids learn in and grounds they play on. They drive students to school every day, greet them as they arrive, cook and serve them healthy meals, keep learning spaces clean, and support their learning in the classroom and beyond. They support staff students and parents and help the school day run smoothly. Others work behind the scenes to ensure that our technology, fleet, warehouse, curriculum, payroll and other school and district systems function well so that, together, we can all help our students succeed.

Whatever their specific role, our classified staff members are vital members of our team, essential to supporting our school district’s mission to prepare our students for success in college, careers and life. Our schools could not function without them.

THANK YOU, 4J classified employees. We appreciate you!
