School Calendar: The first day of school is Wednesday, September 6, just after Labor Day. School offices are open on weekdays now. Teachers start their year on August 29 with professional development and preparation for students’ return.

Enroll Today: If your child will be a new 4J student this year and is not yet registered with your school, please contact your school as soon as possible. Kindergarten is a full-day program in all 4J elementary schools.

School Supplies: Most elementary and middle schools provide a list of supplies that students at each grade level should bring at the beginning of the school year. Check your school’s supply list online before you start your back-to-school shopping.

School Bus Routes: Will your student be riding the school bus? Find your bus stop and times.

School Lunch/Breakfast: Learn more about healthy, nutritious school meals, apply for free meals, or add money to your student’s account. New this year, breakfast is free for all elementary school (K-5) students. No application or registration is required.

Contact information: Have you changed your phone number, email or emergency contacts? Make sure your school has your current information. Your accurate and complete contact information is needed to communicate with you in emergencies and about school information.
