District offer would increase teachers’ salaries each year, reduce class sizes, restore school days, more
The district bargaining team recently delivered a new contract proposal to the Eugene Education Association in its ongoing effort to finalize a contract with the teachers’ union before the beginning of the school year. The district’s offer would:
- Provide salary increases for every teacher in each year of the contract, including COLA increases every year
- Restore seven school days and instructional time to help improve outcomes for students
- Reduce class size and provide workload relief by hiring additional teachers
