Three Schools Locked Down Wednesday Due to Police Incident Nearby

Three Churchill-area schools were locked down on the afternoon of Wednesday, November 20, due to a police incident that ended in a parking lot south of Churchill High School.

No 4J staff or students were involved. The lockdowns went very smoothly and all students were safe.

Police recommended that nearby schools enter modified lockdowns as the incident evolved. Churchill High School and McCornack Elementary School did a modified lockdown; Kennedy Middle School had already entered a full lockdown as a precaution.

McCornack’s school day was over but after-school activities were in session. Kennedy and Churchill released students after the usual end of the school day.
