What we are working on...

At the beginning of the school year we are going to be doing lots of getting to know you activities.  We will also be learning the rules, routines, and procedures of the classroom and making new friends!  We will reintroduce the letterland characters and work on handwriting these letters to help the students understand good letter formation and pencil grips.  We will learn the new centers and stations in the classroom and be building lots of stamina!  In math, we will introduce all the new materials they will be using in class and doing review activities to reinforce what they learned in kindergarten.  We will learn about what it is to be a good scientist and what skills we need to have to question the skills and tasks.  I am looking forward to teaching your children this year!  We are going to have so much fun!
