Mrs. Leslie Korinek

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! 

I am thrilled to be at Cox Mill Elementary School for my ninth year. This is my twenty-fourth year teaching.  I have taught second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades over the years. I grew up in Raleigh and received my Elementary Education degree from Appalachian State University and my Masters in Reading Education from East Carolina University.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher.

My husband Barry works at TIAA and we have lived in Winding Walk for almost fifteen years. We have two children, Madeline and Carson, who both attend Cox Mill High School. Madeline is a senior and Carson is a freshman. Over the summer, my family was able to travel to Hawaii and enjoy the islands of Maui and Kauai. This was a trip of a lifetime celebrating both our 20th wedding anniversary and my belated 50th birthday. It was absolutely amazing! I love to read and typically read over 50 novels a year. I am also a huge Carolina Panther fan! I just love working and living in the Cox Mill community.
