Julie Phillips

Welcome to Second Grade! 

               My name is Julie Phillips, and I am excited to be your child’s teacher for the 2022-2023 school year. This is my first year teaching at Cox Mill but not my first year of teaching. I have taught for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School district as well as in the state of Colorado. 

               I am originally from New Jersey but have lived here in North Carolina since 2011. I received my undergraduate degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA in Fine and Performing Arts/Photography and my Graduate Certificate in Elementary Education at the University of Colorado at Denver in Denver, Colorado. 

               My husband, Jimmy and I have been married for 11 years and we have 3 boys and 2 male Labradoodles. Yes, I’m the only female in my house! When I’m not at school I love to watch any kind of sport. My two favorite teams are the Philadelphia Eagles and Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football! I also love spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, watching movies and playing games!
