Mrs. Rachel Shue
Hello! My name is Rachel Shue, and I am a speech and language pathologist. I am honored and excited to be working with students at Cox Mill Elementary this school year. This is my 4th year at Cox Mill and my 18th year as a speech and language pathologist. Before Cox Mill, I spent over 14 years working at a private pediatric therapy clinic in Matthews, N.C.
I received my bachelor’s degree in education in communication sciences and disorders and my master’s degree in education in communication sciences and disorders from Valdosta State University in Valdosta, Georgia. I received a post master’s certificate in applied behavior analysis (ABA) from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA via their online program. In 2015, after passing boards, I became a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA). In addition to my role as a speech therapist, I developed and directed an applied behavior analysis (ABA) program serving children with autism for 2 ½ years.
I am a native of South Georgia but North Carolina has been my home for over 17 years now. In my spare time, I enjoy baking, reading, and spending time with my husband, Nathan and our Beagle, Snickers.
I look forward to working with you and your child during the 2022-2023 school year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
