I am a first grade teacher at Cox Mill Elementary. I am a native of Gastonia, NC and this is my 25th year teaching. I previously taught 19 years in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.  I love teaching first grade! I received my Elementary Education degree from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, GO NINERS!  I have two wonderful children with my husband, Chris. Marissa is a 8th grader at Harris Road Middle School and Abigail is a Senior at Cox Mill High. I love being outdoors. I enjoy tent camping, hiking, boating, stand up paddleboarding and sitting by our firepit with friends and family. My favorite places for a quick getaway are Asheville, NC, Charleston, SC, and Savannah, GA. I have 3 fur babies. My dogs are Charlie and Ginger and my cat named Figaro.
