Welcome to 4th Grade Math and Science with Mrs. Gentile.

 

I grew up in Frederick, MD and graduated from Frostburg State Univ. in the mountains of western Maryland.  I moved to Raleigh in 1995 and to Charlotte in 2000.  While in Raleigh and my first years in Charlotte, I taught two years of 5th grade and five years of 2nd grade. After having children, I decided to stay home to be with my three boys.  I began subbing at Cox Mill Elementary in 2011 when my youngest began Kindergarten.  After subbing for many years, I decided to go back to teaching and this will be my sixth year teaching 4th grade at Cox Mill Elementary.  Aside from school, my boys keep me very busy!  Bailey is a junior at UNC Chapel Hill studying business and statistics, Carter is a freshman at NC State studying computer engineering and Owen is a sophomore at Corvian Community School.  My husband and I have lived in Highland Creek since 2002 in three different houses.  We LOVE the neighborhood and I love being a part of this community.  As a family, we enjoy playing disc golf, hiking, traveling, watching movies and LOTS of sports!  Most of all, we love the beach!
