Taylor Beard

I am excited to be a part of the Kindergarten and Mandarin teams at Cox Mill Elementary!  My family moved to the area in 2016 from Florida where I was born and raised!  I am a huge Gator fan, as I completed my undergraduate degree and met my husband there.  I later completed my Masters at the Universtiy of South Florida after working in Hillsborough County (Tampa) schools for many years.  I have served in a variety of roles in schools from classroom teacher to new teacher mentor to administration.  After leaving a school-based role, I join the Florida Center for Reading Research out of Florida State University where I deepened my knowledge in researched based instructional practices for teaching reading and writing.  It is beyond fulfilling for me to watch as your children grow and become true READERS!
