Mr. Daniel Sipes

This will be Mr. Sipes's 13th year at Mountain Brook Junior High.  

Prior to teaching at Mountain Brook Junior High, he taught at Drake Middle School (Auburn, Alabama) and Eagle County Charter Academy (Edwards, Colorado).

While teaching at Drake Middle School, he taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science.  He also taught 7th grade language arts and 8th grade social studies.  He was the middle school wrestling coach and an assistant football coach.  He served on the student support team, the eligibility committee, and the science team.  He was a PLC team leader and the grade level leader for the 7th grade faculty.

At Eagle County Charter Academy, he taught 7th and 8th grade science.  He lead enrichments in kayaking, hiking, snow skiing, and wilderness survival.  He served as the school's science fair coordinator.  He had students place 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the regional science fair.  He had ten students qualify for the state science fair competition in Denver.

At Mountain Brook Junior High, he taught 7th, 8th, and 9th grade science.  Currently, he teaches 8th grade science.  In his first years at the junior high: He coached football and wrestling.  He has served on the safety committee, technology committee, virtual academic committee, and was the Make-Up Testing Room supervisor.
