Mrs. Carlton graduated from the University of Alabama in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. She then went to UAB and received her Master’s in Secondary Mathematics Education. Madeline started her career working for 3 years in the Shelby County School System at Vincent Middle High teaching Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 w/ Trig. She also was the Varsity Cheer coach while at Vincent. She then taught 7th grade Math and Pre-Algebra and at Thompson Middle School in Alabaster. 

Madeline is married to her husband, John, and they have a 5 month old, Ella. 

This year begins her fifth year at Mountain Brook Junior High and she will be teaching Advanced Geometry. Madeline is also the 9th Grade Math Team Sponsor. Go SPARTANS!
