Ms. Centeno is originally from Chicago and is going into her 21st year of teaching. She is passionate about learning other languages and cultures and loves teaching Spanish. She strongly believes that learning Spanish is not just about the language itself; it is a vehicle to connect with people and provides more opportunities for personal and professional growth. Being bilingual has afforded her numerous opportunities in various aspects of her life. She is excited to share her love of the language and culture with students! She truly believes that exposure to diverse cultures, beliefs, and ways of life is crucial for personal development, especially now, when we are truly becoming global citizens.

She looks forward to getting to know you better, assisting you on your world language journey, or helping you improve your Spanish skills. She holds high expectations for both you and herself and anticipates a year filled with great experiences shared as a class. This year will bring its own set of challenges, but it will all be worth it in the end.
