 Instructor Bio: 

   I am excited to begin another year of teaching and learning at Mountain Brook Jr. High School. It is truly an honor to be a part of such a wonderful community and an exemplary team of faculty and staff. I began my adventure into teaching when I decided to major in English as an undergraduate student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I quickly discovered that my love for literature would be best used in the classroom. After graduating with a bachelor's degree in English, I immediately began graduate school at UAB. It was in graduate school that I realized that teaching English was not just a job, but it was a passion. I consider myself blessed to be able to teach adolescents how the literary arts connect us to the past, present, and the future.
