Welcome to Health-  My name is Melissa Dunn Tuck and I am starting my 20th year here at Mountain Brook Junior High.  I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Health Promotions, and received my Masters in Health Education from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.  I coached the Dorians at Mountain Brook High School for 8 years, and I am proud to mention that I started the 7th Grade Dance Team here at the Junior High.  Even though I have currently hung up my coaching hat after coaching both cheer and dance for over 23 years, I still enjoy choreographing and working with teams around the Birmingham area, along with judging tryouts and competitions.  I have been dancing since the age of 2, with training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip- hop, and dance team, and was able to use my training while working for Universal Dance Association (UDA), and performing and coaching for the Golden Girls Dance Team at UAB.  I have a huge passion for anything pertaining to health and dance, and look forward to a great year!
