Eugene Online Academy: Learn Anywhere

4J’s online learning program is enrolling new students

Is online learning the right fit for your student? The Eugene Online Academy is enrolling students for the 2019–20 school year. The program opened for high school students earlier in 2019 and is now available to students in grades 6–12.

The Eugene Online Academy combines technology and in-person support from licensed teachers to offer students an alternative to a traditional classroom setting. Students learn in a self-paced manner that is flexible and customized to their individual needs, interests, and schedules.

The academy offers core classes and a wide variety of other courses including career and technical education (CTE) courses and electives that allow students to explore and concentrate on individual career pathways.

Most online coursework is completed off-campus, but students seeking additional support can also drop in to the computer lab, located at the district office at 200 N. Monroe Street, for personalized help. Students who enroll are required to test on-site and check in with academy leadership at least twice a week.

Interested in enrolling? Students who are already enrolled in Eugene School District 4J should contact their school counselor to apply to the program. Students interested in the program who are not currently enrolled in 4J can email eugeneonline@4j.lane.edu or contact the online learning coordinator, Steve Grossberg, at 541-790-7789, or academy administrator Justin Huntley at 541-790-7587.
