Thanks to voters, four of 4J’s oldest schools will be rebuilt in the next few years. In a first step, the district is seeking architects interested in providing design services.
Architectural and engineering firms are showing strong interest in the school projects. Turnout was tremendous at an optional pre-proposal meeting held by the district. A total of 45 representatives came to learn more about the projects and the proposal process.
Proposals are due June 14 at noon. A selection committee will consider all proposals and recommend top candidates to the school board.
Actual school designs will be developed after the architects have been hired.
