Jane Thornton grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in Collaborative Special Education K-12 and also graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a M.A.E. in Collaborative Special Education K-12. The 2023-2024 school year will be her 6th year teaching. She taught at Pizitz Middle School for 2 years before coming to Mountain Brook in 2020. She is the coach of the 7th Grade Dance Team and a sponsor of SPARTAN Leaders. Go Spartans!
