CPM Geometry – Chapter 3

Justification and Similarity
In this chapter, students use a transformation (dilation) to motivate a study of similar shapes. The themes are justification and similarity. During this chapter students will:

  • Create similar figures and focus on the relationship between corresponding angles and sides.
  • Focus on similar triangles and use technology tools to find the definition of congruent figures (ratio of 1).
