CPM Geometry – Chapter 10

Circles and Conditional Probability
 In this chapter, students are introduced to angles, arcs, chords, and tangents of circles and how these pieces can be used to solve different kinds of circle problems.  The themes of this chapter are circles and conditional probability. During this chapter:

  • Students will develop methods on finding the pieces of a circle (center, measure of arcs, chord lengths, and properties of tangent lines)
  • Students will learn to calculate conditional probability using a variety of strategies.
